Long Buckby Motors was established in 1923 and consisted of a repair workshop and petrol station in a small village. Since its modest beginnings, through various owners, Long Buckby Motors has grown considerably over the years, but still retains the original values of providing quality and customer service.
Long Buckby Motors is now owned and managed by John Bass, who qualified as a motor vehicle technician before taking over the business in 1988. With extensive experience in the motor trade, John heads up a team of dedicated staff with over 100 years of combined experience and knowledge in the motor industry.
In 2002, the lease having expired on the premises in Long Buckby, a new purpose built facility was acquired in the nearby market town of Daventry. Standing on over an acre of ground, in the new Browns Road development park, we feel we are ideally positioned to meet the future requirements of our customers.
During the late 80s and 90s, as well as traditional sales, we saw an increase in the demand for a vehicle locating service (or as we call it, sourcing vehicles), to meet individual requirements. As the demand for this services increased, so did our network of contacts and suppliers. With today’s demanding lifestyles, people are finding our services more convenient than traditional methods of finding the right vehicle. A significant advantage of this service is that, as we do not have to stock a particular vehicle, we do not have to pass on expensive charges, i.e., bank charges, depreciation charges and repetitive valleting charges to you, the customer.
We take the stress out of buying your next vehicle by checking its authenticity, including service history, prior ownership, condition reports and any outstanding finance agreements. Once we have found your ideal vehicle, it is passed to our workshop to receive a pre-delivery inspection, including service if required, prior to delivery to you.
We will assist you in valuing your current vehicle and, in many cases, either help you sell it or take it in part exchange.
